Blackwood Guitars (2nd Ebenex outlet) at Bras Basah!

Went there on Monday, gawd... so boutique. Its like walking into the Gucci/Prada of music shops. Very very sleek..

i dont know whether is it just me, but i walked past the shop again just now and thought that the shop was very 'boutique' like and new. so much so that i m kinda detered to enter it. the feeling is similar to entering a high end fashion outlet like banana republic, whereby you sometimes feel intimidated and inferior becoz half the thinggies there you cannot afford.

but i guess, after some time, more pple will visit there and make it more homely and friendly.

well kym i think you should know that David and the others are a awesome bunch of dudes that would win you over the moment you decide to take the step inside, even if you just wanna browse and try. I think it beats entering some shops that would rather snub you with a certain attitude since they know they have brand monopoly.

=kym

don't worry , ebenex and blackwood staff are the best people alive . they dont bite

I was there today at about 730. Never played a Eternity before. Played one. Absolutely blown away. At least for me and for what I look for in overdrive pedals, it might actually be worth the $435.

I'm wondering though, if a slightly more neutral amp could be used, rather than a Vox. It's pretty nice, but not all pedals gel with it.

anyone who walks in will walk out with a whole new strain of GAS.. then again, different shit, same smell.

i splashed $360 on a t.c. electronic vintage bass distortion ;p

would also like to commend Blackwood for having a nice little room to test products. thanks a many folks.

me and my frens checked it out yesterday. nice sleek place..

and the gibsons in there are nice, esp the one displayed at the corner.

Yeah ive seen it.
i reconizged that philipino dude.
haha.

one thing i like abt ppl at ebenex n stuff they will let u try stuff and they wont give u an angry face if u dont buy thier products.
haha.

OMG. MESA AMPS?!?!? Shit.
I was there earlier on... And all i can is... BLOODY SICK! Super GAS inducing :(
And i like the idea of the 2 individual rooms to test your pedals/guitar. Allows the player to listen to the tone of whatever they're testing and much more privacy.
VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY HOT SILVERBURSTS.

=screwlooose

yea man its happening la. i love the way David does business, its so friendly yet cordial and professional. Hopefully some people can take a hint from the way he does things, it may actually improve their sales :D

I cant wait to get my ibanez s5470

Freaking GAS! That microstack!! If I were to buy something like that, how am I gonna bring it back home? Is there any delivery service?

I think they do have delivery services. Got to check with them..

And the place is heaven. Just a bit squeezy because of all those huge amps in the center of the place =\

=Ized

haha yea, the point is that even when the potential buyer ends up not buying the product, he'll probably return a few more times after. and in that few more times, with all the stacking GAS and pressure... SURE BUY WAN LA! hahaha
