Black Screws

haha thanks shredcow but i guess i was just getting real worked up abt how pple expect things to be spoonfed to them nowadays. soon they will prob ask for a 'buy-and-deliver-screw-service' and when u charge them for service they would probably whine and tell u they cant afford to pay u and all that shit.

I've been thru that, personally. 2 packs of strings for a floyd rose setup and setup lesson, takes me abt 1 1/2 hrs, and people whine abt it.

Too expensive.

They just want to know where the shop is...I don't think they like to walk around there aimlessly...but of course, they could ask...but maybe they think that asking every single shop is a huge hassle...which actually kinda is...

then to that kinda attitude of not wanting to go around looking id say: stop playing guitar. its too much of a hassle!

I agree with you.

Problem is with the works of technology bringing about convenience in every aspect of life, everything that isn't presented within a few mouse clicks, IS a hassle, to those immersed in such an age.

But not everyone's mindset is like yours...there'll always be this pool of spoonfed guitarist who suddenly needs to walk on their own...most of their life they've already been speefed with whatever they need...now you want them to find things themselves...I'm sure they'll be hoping that some guy comes along and tell him/her where to get it.

To penta-tonic's defense, I'd say, City Hall has relatively few guitar shops, limited to the Pennisular area (most of the shops) and Bras Bahsa Complex.

Hmmm alright.... thanks sc. :)

I thank allstarguitars as well.

Pentatonic: Okay. Fine, I apologise for seemingly repeating my question, hence making me seem like I'm asking a stupid question, but IMHO, I still think your kind of tone towards me is a little overboard.

Just because I ask for more details, doesn't mean I'm spoonfed. I do most of my stuff on my guitar by myself.

Well, i see it as a problem past being a guitarist.

How long will you be choose to be spoonfed in life?

gosh..its juz 2 packs of strings??

yea..at time people can be such low life cheapskates.

i can vouch for tt. :smt011

Hey, i only got a "thank you" for a set up and intonation...then again it may have had something to do with the fact that she wore a short skirt

hahahaha. really funny point df. u mentioned that there are a pool of spoonfed guitarists who need to walk on their own. and u say that they need someone to come along to tell him/her where to get it.

isnt that repeating the damned cycle of being spoon fed? this is the day and age of internet. we r bloody damn priviledged to be able to access a certain brand site and see whether there are dealers in the country. den we can look up the shop online for exact address. be so grateful as to realise back then there was never a congregation or gathering of guitar shops at peninsular or bras basah or parklane mall. back then in peninsular there was only davis. and back then bras basah there was only swee lee and ranking sports. with such good infrastructure such as MRT and pple still think it inconvenient to travel slightly over half an hour to get to a particular area which is populated with good guitar stores. damn! u pple need to realise that it is a priviledge. ive been to other countries where guitar shops r hours drive apart.

i second that..some people are juz so lazy..

sumtyms..searching for sumthing u want..may lead to discovery of something interesting..or maebe sumthing tt u might need in future..

well who noes..

ps.this is with the exception of those who cant afford the time to scour around for a particular item.

and shredcow..

not everyone will do smth for free..

so its not wrong for you to ask for 2 packs of strings..

but do u rilli change strings tt often??

Once a mth, mandatory, i don't care what, I must change. Strings are dead by then.

So.

At the moment, I haven't bought strings from the beginning of the year... :D And I think I have... 8 more packs... awesome eh
