bjfe honeybee alternative?

i love the way the honeybee has a mild/melting kind of overdrive rather than the "crunch" the TS has.

its pretty expensive though so im wondering if anyone knew any close or good alternative?

I dunno what circuit it uses... maybe you wanna try to find out if it is based upon any existing drives - that would be the closest.

Or, maybe, only the Honey Bee nails it.



I think a properly tweaked Blackstone Overdrive can nail it. The bstone will sound less "Seventies" though... more modern. But - thru the right amp and guitar and settings, I think it comes close.

Or maybe the Subdecay Liquid Sunshine.
