i dunno, between 9s and 10s i find that 9s have better chug tone. cos i find that with thicker strings u do get much more mids and bass but as usual the popular misconception that more bass = tighter chug but truth is the less bass the tighter the sound is. tension would obviously be higher with 10s. generally i feel that 10s would usually find its place on a shorter scale guitar like a les paul with 24.75 scale. for a strat its usually 9s with the 25.5 scale but then its really up to u. try whacking on a set of 10s and see if u like the feel and sound of them. guess its not really that noticeable unless ure really into bending then ull have to adjust.
