Beta Aivin pedals

Hi looking for some affordable pedals and I don't have the $ for something high-end, but any experiences with Beta Aivin pedals and would you recommend them?

Another close competitor is Behringer but they're even cheaper than Beta Aivins and lots of people tell me not to get Behringer.

What d'you guys think?

Behringer & Beta Aivin are fine products, some people offer a deterrent view out of precaution- they had a bad experience with them.

because Behringer are largely plastic in make, they are indeed more fragile than their peers but some of these offer great tone for the money. Beta Aivin is also a great brand name to refer to if you are treading the budget fringe. i find their hard distortion models above average.

hey.. dont forget about danelectro's fab series..
the fab chorus is really fab-ulous!
i've heard some of the beta aivin pedals in play..
it sounded quite good (probably because of the guitar and amp the player was playing through)..
but still, cheap and does the job well..
perhaps you can tell us the price you are willing to spare and the type of effect you want..
us softies can recommend you different brands within the same price range..

well... I'm not into effects so all I need is a medium to hard distortion for less than $70 for now, maybe later when I'm more professional I might get a more high-end one.

As Godspeed64 has mentioned, have you considered danelectro products? They make pretty decent pedals for the price tag they carry. Are you planning to get it second hand or first hand? If second hand, for medium to hard distortion, you can try sourcing for a modded Boss MT-2 in the second hand market. A DS-1 will get you no hard distortion though.

Looking for a hard rock distortion though but I'm already purchasing an MXR Dist+ second hand so yeah my problem's solved!

Will check out Danelectros and Beta Aivins for my delay and chorus pedals though.

Hope you have fun with your new pedal! Yeah danelectro fab chorus is outstanding for what it can do given its price tag. Good luck with your search! Cheers!

MXR's Distortion +, along with other brand names with a 'Distortion' label on their pedals, are rather mild in intensity. if you wish for something more commanding in terms of distortion, but nothing in the metal domain, try this:

mt 2 (hopefully beez modded)
danelectro black coffee.
fab metal

check out the review section, i believe good metal tones dont have to cost much too.
