Best shop for changing pickups??

Hi SOFTies,

am planning to swop out the stock pickups in my guitar and does anyone have any good experience at any shops??
like they will do an excellent job in wiring and also charge at a real affordable pricing.

Any help will be gladly appreciated!

I went to him on Saturday and was talking about changing pick-ups on my Strat (posted this on another thread). He said not to change my pickups yet and meddle around with the height of the pickups and give it a shot first, don't waste money. So Beez seems pretty genuine, offers sound advice and is generally a nice guy.

oh gee... that's kinda below the belt- 'pretty genuine'? regardless, glad you've been through the Beez experience he has more than 30 years of tinkering experience, more importantly, he's a player himself so nothing better than getting first hand perspective.

I dont usually send my guitars for set up as i know how to fix most of the problems, but when i actually need a set up i'll only bring it to beez despite staying all the way in the northwest region haha

he doesnt only setup your guitar but he teaches you tricks which you can use for your own minor adjustments in future

haha the best thing i like about going to beez is that you're able to be there through the whole process and he will set it up for you till you're satisfied, unlike the other shops you can collect it on the day itself
