By the way, there're not around the same price.
25 bucks per pickup and per guitar is alot of difference.
Plus they stock a bunch of Seymour Duncan pick-ups
so I think you should check them out, friendly people.

So far, about workmanship...I think Standard Value is the best. Though, I never trusted anyone to mod my guitar. I do it all myself.
I've never seen Beez work...so I can't comment on that. I have seen others who solder badly with some potential dry solder.
Price wise is about the same everywhere.
Give a call first to check. Can google for the numbers.

Originally my guitar was ok with slight muddiness issue(IBANEZ SZ320) I had dat muddy problem when I changed to Tesla Plasma II . It sounded like someone put a blanket on my amp. Problems solved when I changed to Seymour Duncan Distortion Mayhem (Zebra ones) . Bought it off ebay cos Davis said I need to wait for 3 mths for it . Cheaper too.
I did changed the pots and jack to Gotohs and plastic nut to tusq.
Done by Beez (electronic)/ KC(nut)
Lesson learnt....I dun really know what actually cause the problem...does change of pots, jack or nut?...or the seymour duncan suits my guitar tonal properties.
Total spent on those plasma..$220 plus installation.
Make sure u choose the right pickups..or start small by changing nut or pots.

Well with that said, the truth is that there's no such thing as a "end-all" pick-up selection. Apart from the playing styles, where certain players might favor a certain breed of pick-ups;
The type of guitar has a bigger impact on the tone and pick-up selection.
Like how one would find difficulty coaxing humbucker tones from a telecaster fitted with rails. Or a better example would be how the hugely popular Duncan JB pickup works so well with a Les Paul but seemingly lacking in punch when fitted in an SG.
Chosing a wrong pickup is usually results in an lack of or an overemphasis of the lower frequencies, what commonly refered to "thinness" or "Muddiness"
Nuts and pots won't do as much difference to your tone.

The prices for changing of pickups depends where you live. If you live in Woodlands then go the Standard Value.If you live in East Coast then go to Beez. It will be silly to save a couple of bucks travelling from Woodlands to East Coast or even going all the way to te city. If you drive then it will be worse because you have to pay for parking and ERP.Save your time and by practising the guitar that will really helps you to be a better guitarist.
