Best jamming studio in S'pore?

location.genre.equipment.rate.service attitude.ambience.all plays a part. probably missed out some other factors. so one band's poison maybe another band's meat.

in case some are confused.. "genre" meaning : one jamming studio's equip may sound good/suitable for a hardcore music (or hard hitting band). but the rate can be expensive due to the constant maintenance.

when that heavy band goes to a "softer-music genre" jamming studio with cheaper rates. they may just get kicked out by the studio due to their "irresponsible" way of playing the instruments. and what happens is you see them passing down through word of mouth or complaining here on soft forum that the jam studio sucks etc. when it's really just a case of misunderstanding and mismatched mindsets.

then again if a certain jam studio keeps getting dissed and everyone agrees I guess the owner has to wake up his idea.

this topic could go on forever.

yup but still my vote goes for fourtones coz i think the guy there is DAMN DAMN DAMN friendly and nice. once last yr we had a miscommunication and he booked a slot for me that was 1 week later than what i wanted..(eg if i wanted to book on 1/7/2006 he booked on 8/7/2006) so i turned up there and so he worked something out for us and we were able to play there for 2 hrs and he also let us watch TV and play XBOX :D

now,THATS service

I will say Fourtones...Great service, nice sound and comfortable.

HmmMmm Beat Merchant, the equipments okay only ar...i still remember the drum sound like shit and they dont borther changing the cymbals...My drummer got fed up.

i personally like bmc bedok for its raw and war torn feel. very grim for playing black metal.

yeah man! my band keeps complaining that jam studios are getting to "cosy". every single studio now is getting cosy. sometimes that "thrash" feel sets ur mood to jam too.

The cost of maintaining the drums ain't cheap. I'm sure everyone here knows dat.

If a particular drummer were to to fill unsatisfied with the drums/cymbals at the studio, its better to bring his/her own stuffs.

If can't afford, save $$$$ and buy.

i tend to take a liking to fourtones
coz i got nothing to complain about.
the space is huge. and the location rocks.

i hvnt tried soundscape though.

He does have now though...besides the cymbals...the drum is not tune man. Sometimes I wonder why those bands before us cant be borther with the sound.

i'm a drum dim wit. so i'm thinking im not experienced
enough to take notice of that or i've been listening too
hard to my guitar tone. haha.
whichever way i wouldn't know...

Sound is very important to me though. I love the room 4 in Lee studio. But the aunty very money minded...She charge me one buck just to borrow a adapter wire. Fourtones lend free man!!!! Lol she wont even let u off for even 10 cents.

But fourtones got good service, cozy and good equipments...haha i love the mesa boogie amps.
