i still remember back in 1992 at the old swee lee shop at plaza singapura, i saw Paul Daniel playing one of the solo lick phrase by DT. and at that young age, he already did it real good.

When I was only 16 I took lessons from him for a couple of months, the first lesson he played for me some Jason Becker songs...THE WHOLE DAMN THING. He showed me Cacophony stuff, Vai stuff...OMG.

Totally blew a young lad like me away.

For me, the best 'local' boys are paul ponnudorai, adam lee and jonathan koh.
