hey all! day 4 of polishing my guitar to a mirror shine.

EXCELLENT results from the 65 kit. though I think the spray clean and polish is a bit of a waste of money. the Wax beats all cream polish i have ever ever tested.

The 30 day no stain shine thing is a fallacy or either I produce too much oil off my arms..


Dunlop 65 - excellent product!

as for the fretboard stuff.. man... hope it doesn't make my fretboard soft

For the dunlop 01 & 02 set used for cleaning/restoring fingerboard. I'd say, its average.

Used on rosewood - the wood dries up within a month.. loses its lustre which you get when you 1st apply the dunlop stuff on.

Old English Lemon oil is good enough... or google for guitar honey - its really good.

blender some peanuts...the use the peanut paste on the guitar...leave it for one night...

the next morning,your guitar will turn into a bag of peanuts..

+1 to a good polishing cloth. I use the 20 bucks dunlop microfibre cloth and perhaps a bit of water for stubborn dirt spots. There are other alternatives to the cloth which are much more value for money. There's this sports towel (microfibre cloth) available from royal sporting house which is extremely good, one of the best cloth imho.

I use old english dark woods cover to nourish my brw fretboard. It's way better than the dunlop 65 lemon oil stuff.

Lemon pledge works well for getting tarnish off the hardware.

Oh and +1 for the autoglym. Coupled with paint renovator it will remove ALL surface scratches.

hmm. i wonder what happens if u have a specially BEAUTIFUL matt+satin look.
and then u apply "super mirror reflection guitar polish" oh shiit. its gonna look bad!
