Try posting a new thread next time if you have a query. People might miss your post and not answer you.

To answer your question, go and try all the amps that is within that budget range and see if it's good enough for you.

Anyway, a minor comment on this topic...

I was initially surprised at your choice of a solid state amp given the budget that you have (it's contrary to the "I heart tube" consensus I keep seeing).

Then I reread your post and went like, "Ah.. Jazz. No wonder..." :p

Thank you guys for all your replies.

Mattleesc: i just went city music to check it out. Great amp...but heavy and the price too "nice". So nice i can't afford!! damn

Indigo_Blues: yup that's what i m thinking of getting right but i have some doubts with the effects and the volume. Do u think the effects are good? Do u think that the amp will be loud enough to play in a place as big as a auditorium??

ahmadk: yup..i agree too. Perfect for jazz. the jazz tone is killer!! What about the distortion? is it good enough for rock?? cos i haven got any effects yet.

Gr3y: we play the old dixieland to swing to latin jazz for performance. As for the stuff we play when we jam, it depends on where the song leads. That's why the amp needs to be versatile.

Edited:

THOA: yup...i is heart solidstate!!!! Another reason for choosing solid-state is because it's more durable.
