there is one guitar shop/audio shop in excelsior plaza that carries BBE pedals, they might have it.

the name slips my mind, but it's very near guitar connection and guitar 77 (the new location).

in fact, it is in between them

hey, just came across this thread while doing a search on bbe's sonic maximiser. anybody knows where can one find this pedal and the equivalant rack units?

I have bought and sold 2 Sonic Stomps on the classifieds in the past year :p And one BBE DI with built in Sonic Maximizer. But no idea where to get it first hand haha. Kinda miss the Sonic Stomp...

a look over at bbe site reveal that the local importer, is http://www.sindoexport.com/index.html

Anyway, for a start, someone in the thread mentioned on shop near guitar 77 and guitar connection having it. Iam sure to have seen it round some shops round the penin/excelsior area as well, davis iirc..

Worst come to worst, go straight to the importer, sindoexport and check with then if they do direct sales. Sometime the gear sold in guitar shops, are directly from the local importer. If the importer doesnt do direct sales, ask them if they distro to geetar shops or pro audio shops, so that can get from there instead.

hey, thatnks for pointing that out, i'll call them tmr see if they do direct sales!

i'm caught in a dilemma right now. i utilize my pod hd's stereo extensively so i was thinking of either getting two sonic stomp, or i could get the 882i rack unit which has XLR inputs. would prefer the 2nd option but it will be kinda weird to bring a rack unit around without a rack? has anybody seen or done that before? put rack units on the floor.. haha

Can you put the Sonic Stomp in the POD's effects loop before you split the signal to stereo? So you only need one. But that uses up your effects loop and isn't exactly like putting it at the end of your chain.

Anyway, if you're going to leave it always on, 2x Sonic Stomps might be cheaper than a 882i, put them in a box permanently wired up and you're good to go...

from musician's friend, i think the cost is roughly the same, maybe $20 to $30 more only.. the upside is the XLR inputs / outputs. i tend to use XLR where i can at live venues cause XLR cables are typically longer and more common than the 1/4".

for the looping part yeah have to use the loop for sonic stomps if i want to use the XLR. the pod hd has setero loop outs and ins so no prob for that.. haha so both ways are actually fine.. tsk, tough decision!
