Nowadays bass merchant also smart lah, they bundle the bass with the amp and make it a package. Mainly beginner set though but it is very affordable.

The blog is mainly for beginners. :)

I remembered when I first bought my bass couple of yrs ago from swee lee (takashimaya branch) I didnt checked much on the internet and didn't know anything about modeling signal processor.

Nowadays pple can find lots of information from the internet and forum but I guess there will still be some who just started out.

Hope the blog can provide useful info to help them save money and also to learn more abt bass.

Will start to include basic lessons to practise with.

Cheers,

Ben

Thanks for kind words..I dunno how Victor does it exactly. But i kinda do it in my own (and inferior) way. By inferior i mean, I think i did not grasp the rhythm aspect of it like he did. Nope i'm not being 'humble', I wasnt even close. But anyway, theres alot of percussive technique involved, more so than regular fingerd basslines. Theres probably left-hand slap. and most definitely right hand 'landing' on the strings without plucking. I hope you can imagine what that is. Its sort of like playing More than Words but instead of knuckles landing on the strings, its the tip of fingers.

Legend: H - Harmonic, O - regular fingered note, L - lefty slap, R - right hand thing, G - right hand ghosted note. Sorry i dunno tabs, although my band is called Tabula. heeh.

First row is fretted notes....2nd row is percussive notes. 3rd row is...name of notes.

| . . H H | H O . O | O O HHH |
| . . . . | . . LRL . | . . . . |

| . . D E | G G . G | G G BAG |

The melody . . H H starts before the rhythm. Now i'm looking back at what i typed.... I can only hope you manage to decipher! Anyway this thing i wrote out is actually supposed to be in 16th notes la, not quarter as above. Just focus on the timing of the regular notes, then work in the percussive. Take note of the order or change ard to comfort. This part is in Gmaj and its ONE bar.

The G part is actually start of the verse of the song. The C part you mentioned is the extended section, where he does stronger attacks..

Congrats on the 615, I'd buy the natural one too hehe. Pewter looks cool too, kinda reminds me of the Pewter Spawn toy...

Ok basically..the C part is alot of triplet patterns from what i heard. Most of the time I do Tap, Strum down, Strum up. Tap the C (first octave), then strum down muted strings, strum up muted strings. The rest just follow major triad, very simple. When the pattern changes, just try hammers ons.. Sorry i really dunno how to tab.

Ya the natural one looks better to me cos i wanna see the wood lah. hee.
I will try wat you mention. No prob abt the tabs

Tap - Tp
Mute - X

-TP5--X---X-
-------X---X-
-------X---X-
-------X---X-

That is how people normally tab i guess.

Thanks.
