I'm so easy-going, that as long as I like it, I welcome the change. But I'll elaborate on some:
1. In Flames. What the hell happened to melodic death metal? It's become so cheesy and mediocre compared to other melodeath bands. For me, the best melodeath band has to be Insomnium, Hypocrisy and Dark Tranquility.
2. Hypocrisy. I like their new stuff, but I still prefer the era where they played flat-in-your-face death metal. Hypocrisy's an excellent melodeath band, but they were even greater as a death metal band in my opinion.
3. Testament. I like their new stuff more than their old stuff. Simply because their newer stuff is more brutal, and more catchy, at least to my ears, but they've always been an awesome band. Hell, they're the band that got me into metal!
4. Darkthrone. Okay with both, I guess, but as a black metal band, there were better bands than Darkthrone. Don't flame me but their early stuff doesn't strike me as very good. Boring for the most part, at least to me. So I welcome the change. Something about it I like very much.
5. Satyricon. Don't like the change. They should go back to black metal like 'Mother north'. They have some awesome recent tracks but most of them are generic and boring to my ears.
6. Linkin Park. Welcome the change. When they played nu-metal, I'd name Blindspott, Deftones and Adema as far superior. Their nu-metal was too mainstream and very boring and slow to my ears. But their new stuff is hard to beat. Very interesting stuff on the Minutes to Midnight album, I like it.
There. All my personal opinions, and I acknowledge that, so you'd be immature to flame me for my personal opinions.:mrgreen:
