Band Photography anyone?

i'm a freelance photographer as well as a musician!

have been interested to do some band photography for quite some time. wonders if there's anyone who's interested to have some fun?

i hope u take it constructively but i dont think u shld have posted those as ur portfolio. cos when u want to shoot a band it is to showcase the band and all that u are showing and shadows holding instruments. it doesnt show who the band is.

jst my humble opinion.

i agree with you that band pics should at least show who the band is.

it'll be a series of photos, not just one. so rest assure, u'll know who the band is in a series.

I kinda support satch. If this would be your portfolio, it doesn't really showcase much of your talent, just what you can do with photoshop.

Hey lepids, don't let others' critism affect you. I for one can see where you're going with the images and think it'll make a cool concept. Not all bands like having their faces shown. Who cares if its just shadows of instruments or people? Art and photography is subjective, continue doing them and not giving a s**t what others say, especially here, cos some of us are musicians, not artists.....

haha, phoenix, im nt talking shit. he asked for suggestions, im jst speaking my mind.

masks, well slipknot is IDENTIFIED by masks. if the band can walk arnd being shadows and thats they re look then why nt shoot them in shadows.

cos for me, the main point of a band shoot is to pomote and show off the band. and to do that, u do need a series of shots with their face in it.

i was looking for suggestions, ideas. as in for bands to do shoots, we can discuss what images we want to achieve together.

something like a series in a CD that sort.

not looking for ppl to critique my photos.. i didn't know how that started.

any bands want their photos taken? i guess it's exam period for some of them. hehe.

lepids, when you post that 2 pix up, i think you are trying to suggest what you want to do. in return, others suggest what you can try to do. i think all is just going fine.
