[TD="class: gF gK"] Not sure if anyone have bad online shopping experience and I would like to share mine.

I've ordered a guitar bridge studs from Sam's Guitar Madness but finally received 2nd hand, and full of scratches studs. I believe it’s my right to ask for refund but the shop refuse because they said there was absolutely no indication that I did not want 2nd hand studs. I never expected I need to tell the shop I want a brand new one…..

Dear Ian,

I responded to your Want To Buy post searching for a bridge studs. What I sold you were my personal bridge studs that I did not have any use for as I have changed my stoptail on my guitar. As I have mentioned to you, you did not clearly indicate that you were searching for Brand New items, otherwise I would not have sold it to you. At no point during the sales did I sell them under the pretext that it was a new piece.

As you needed it urgently, I also went out of the way to get it shipped to you on the same day (within 3 hours in fact!) so that you could use them ASAP.

Please continue to contact me by email so we can resolve this problem amicably. I am willing to work something out with you.

Sam

Seems like a misunderstanding to me.

If I was dealing from an individual, I would assume the goods are used and would ask about the condition before buying it. However, if I was buying from a shop, I would expect the goods to be brand new and if it was used, the shop should make it clear.

Probably Sam was dealing with you as an individual rather than a shop.

Personally, I have dealt with Sam's Guitar Madness on many occasions and I'm usually satisfied with their services.

I hope the both of you can clear things up and move on :)

I am sure this is an misunderstanding too. It should be noted that Sam is making an effort to resolve this issue and in no way trying to run away or cut off communication. I have also met and dealt with him so this is just an unfortunate event that does not deserve a public posting like this as the resolution is still ongoing.

Like others, I agree that this is likely a misunderstanding.

Personally, I've dealt with Sam on many occasions be it big or small deals and Sam never fails to offer me the best possible deal. He tend to go the extra to make things convenient and easy so I don't think Sam has any intention to cheat or to purposely hide the fact that the product he sold is secondhand.

My experiences with him so far are great and I foresee many more in the future.

Hope TS will clear things up soon!

Well guys, thanks so much for your support! I'm glad to have had good experiences with you all. Looking forward to more next time!

Anyway, the TS is just lurking from Hong Kong to post one time and its probably going to be his only post on Soft!

The matter has been resolved and both parties are satisfied. So.. Case closed.
