Bad Mcdelivery Service

Ok haha I am bored in the night, just wna start a topic.

What happens is that, I ordered home delivery just now.

So, the guy came and just knock on the door, of course I won't know since I am in the room. As I order online, I don't get to know how long do they take to come as normally when I do phone ordering, it takes 40mins or something.

Amazing this time, since order through internet as said, I won't know how long do they need to take. So practically, it took only 20mins... The guy just knock the door and didn't give me a call or something.

OK la, maybe for that, partially my fault so I don't bother much about it.

What I most concern is this:
I paid by debit card, I am trying to like interact as that is my style. So I ask him, "don't need to pay extra cash right"... I intended to give tips though, for being so efficient and fast this time round. But his attitude turned me off, he didn't reply me but like hurry pass me all my food, like so impatient...

So, I thought he didn't hear me, I didn't repeat myself either.

But, I notice that he did hear something. Because before he left, I ask him:
"is that all for my order?"
He didn't reply, neither did he say bye, he walk off...

WHAT THE HECK...

Well.

There was once my cousin ordered mac and the delivery guy said this: " Your place was damn difficult to find. I had to find like F***."

Professionals. Hehe. :)

You have to understand the rider's position, the faster they deliver and go back to the restaurant, the more they can earn.

Maybe he was tired or in a bad mood.

Oh! Hope you had a good meal! =)

The cost of efficiency, manners. Anyway sometime they also leave out things like drinks and fries and whatnot. You can call them back to tell them that they missed some items out but usually they guess that you wont bother so they leave it out.

actually, they do state the approximate delivery time when you order online. That page is when you input your address before clicking on the menu.

And... Its not an easy job for them. I've seen a 50 plus yr old man delivering food too, I guess to make ends meet. Don't forget the risks they take rushing on their bikes sometimes in very bad weather just to meet the timing or to avoid obnoxious customers, and to also hopefully get more orders to make more money. Its a tough job I feel and you should tip them or the least you could do, is to just be friendly and understanding.

Yep, cut these people some slack lah. It's no walk in the park doing what they do. And I'm guessing U ordered Mac's late at night so the guy's prolly a little tired too from the day.

But yeah, I've also come across some that were a little impatient with me but more often than not, they were polite enough.

I have to disagree though. These riders are still part of McDonald, who are particular about service and customer satisfaction. What if rubbish collectors are tired and they don't clean your estate, do you still cut them slack?

yes, please cut some slack on those guys. It's not easy to do their job.

i frequent late night orders of mac's. esp during the weekends when there's late night football to be watched. I have seen my fare share of zombie / blur / boh chap / friendly /polite delivery guys. actually does it really matter if he knows a thing or 2 about customer service?

importantly is that you got what u ordered in the shortest period of time.
20 minutes to get your macs delivered to you is pretty fast service. I bet the order was still hot when it got to TS.

There you go.. ONE Job done and completed. Moving on to the next of several customers and he better not be late within that hour frame cause hungry people are cranky people.

Cannot expect service with a smile like Giordano la.....
don't compare with rubbish collectors also la..... They dont smile as much when you see them too but they get their job done.

For measly $3 delivery charge.....
I demand that my delivery rider...

take it easy la.... Hope you enjoyed your meal TS..
Starting to crave for a mega mac after reading this thread....
:)

To the complainers/whiners here,
when a future client/customer catches u on a bad day, we'll see if u plead for them to give u a break.

always order mac when OT in office, so far so good,
dont really care if yandao or smiling guy.
as long as the quantity is correct and the food is yummy, it's good (Y)

Second @ what Yaiyen said. Most of us who worked in the service line will know how the deliveryman felt. Heh.

Honestly, food arrive, everything's in. Good enough service.
You're not the only one ordering Macdonalds, don't expect to be served like a King. Period.

Perhaps the next time you notice a delivery man having a bad day, you could yell at him as he hurries back to his bike, "HEY MAN GOOD JOB! KEEP IT UP" with the thumbs up. It might just make his day!

Aiyoo how can they get hot chicks to do deliveries? They could make for easy kidnapping targets. Not safe lah, for girls to do deliveries especially those that are at ungoldly hours of the night.

I'm sure there are a handful of girls that are employed by Mac's to do deliveries but still.

tHEY NORMALLY DO SEVERAL ORDERS AT ONE GO .... PROLLY YOUR LATENESS IN ANSWERING THE DOOR MEANT HE WOULD BE LATE FOR ALL HIS OTHER ORDERS

PLAY IT FORWARD

Well i have to agree bout the attitude. Its not and excuse that you're tired, or bad mood or have to make ends meet. If you're not happy with the job, QUIT! Tired, then take an MC. There's no work not tiring. Bad mood? Why? Someone piss you? Then face them instead of making attitude to others. Oh yeah, i'm in the work line where i had to meet client. Attitude is just not a valid reason to show people your morning(just woke up not enough sleep and cranky) face.
