:)

you can go to simlim tower/square those electronics shop to make this from scratch. btw make sure you ask around for how much it'll cost cos some electronics shops today still con people. like a simple IEC power cable head cost $1.50 and a couple of them can quote $8 to $10 claiming it's made in japan bla bla.

haha..normal lah..and im a noob also about this kinda things so thanks alot for the heads up man..much appreciated

Sometime brand are the way to go. Like plug and connector, only that peculiar brand can make a good fix.

fique : the link you posted, the esplanade sound engineers have loads of them and they use it. brand is important, but it's what people have tried and successfully tested that fortifies it. just make sure you explain what your use is for for the electrician guy to solder for your situation. if possible print this one out (or if on iphone show him). he should know.

blueprint: you mean i print the audio technica thing and show it to the guy at the shop and tell him to make it for me?

not ask him to make you an "audio technica same specs" cable.
tell him the situation and what you're trying to do he may be able to advise something better or if not just make something generic and it should work cos I've seen it used before.

i always go to simlim square 02-68 suang huat heng trading.

You must factor the workmanship for the total cost of making that kind of plugs. Those really good workmanship will cost $50 alone. Of cos, there are lower out there, but must pray hard. If using my favorite plugs cost other $40-$50 also. Still not count the range of quality of other component to built it.

fique : by the way, I've been doing recording for almost 9 years. the cables soldered by the shop i recommended from day 1 from 2001 when I started buying my stuff has NEVER failed. so you can be assured by the experience and worksmanship of this guy. i believe his name is dickson , skinny chinese guy with fancy goggle-like glasses. should you insist on high quality, ask for neutrik/amphenol and belden/klotz.

This remind me doing all the cable termination in my 4 donkey year in an audiophile shop. Sometime, thing does work even the terminated in not the correct way. Example, cable shield, + and - of XLR, neutral and live of power plug.... Thing still work if wired in reverse way. Now wash hand doing this kind of stuff unless for myself.
