Levan has been warned many times. Yes, he has been on SOFT for a very long time and has contributed a lot of valuable insights. Many times, when he made bad posts, i will just edit them.

@twizted. Even if he wasn't warned about the suspension, he should know better. James just can't give you a warning then do nothing..

It's like someone who steal from a shop but the shop owner just give him a warning not to do it again and do just that, and after that he do it again, and get warned again and expect nothing is going to happen.. Then suddenly one day the police come to the person's house and arrest the man.. You can't expect the shop owner to give him a call beforehand to let him know that police are arriving to arrest him..

According to Levan and various other users who got banned, they never received a PM (as James claimed he sent) and the initial ban was done discreetly. So what warning? The whole thing sparked off from an unbalanced ban. You case would be valid IF they had received actual warnings.

And Rhizopus, if we had a lot of money, we'd be buying cars. Believe us, we have better things to do, but we believe in the scene and are willing to put our backs into it. If two forums enriches the scene as a collective, what's so bad about that? Such negativity

Good analogy. But then we come full circle back to the fact that Levan made subtle his (however mild) adult humor, and the whole argument ensues about how it should/should not be tolerated. Personally, I felt that Levan was completely unaware that this little crude "joke" was taken so seriously by James. Had he known so, he would have refrained from making such comments. Levan himself had said that such innuendo was not condoned in the rules.

Once again, no personal offence to Rhizopus, but your post is a perfect example of what I mentioned earlier.

These rivalries, while seemingly petty on the outside etc, are what made both parties push themselves to get better to outdo the other. And in the end, what's the result? The result is a more active scene. The result is that both fans are made happy with both sides working at their best capacity.

Democrats vs Republicans
Singapore vs Malaysia
James vs Levan
Carpet sweepers vs airing laundries

Put it this way
If one party goes unchallenged for too long, they get complacent. It's human nature for EVERYTHING. Politics, religion, and on a far far smaller scale, forums. It's the undeniable trait of human beings.

At the end of the day, the party that benefits is you. You get more choices, more options, more places to visit when you're bored.

So what's there to complain about?
