Ash Vs Alder

ic ic... don't get caught up with specs and all that jazz if you're just beginning to get into this. Get what feels good and look good and play often.

All those arguments about tone are for anal laptop guitar warriors to champion and fight.

eh, I anal DESKTOP guitar warriors la :D :D, thanks for the help guys. Will go down to SL tomorrow, hopefully they have the 57' reissue in-stock so I can try see see. Then can order from Brendon.

Cheers,

hey man, give rosewood a try... Mean i also lurve maple... but when i played a rosewood, woo, its a much more smooth tone... a tiny wee bit less attack compared to maple but it's a diff feel altogether.... thats what i feel anyway.... haha

smooth? maybe in the context of shredding, yes brudder. I think what you mean is more clarity.

Maple fingerboards tend to sound very bright and trebly, I love the one piece maple neck on my 57 strat. But i also love the rosewood fingerboard of my ibanez s470...both totally different sounding and feel, gotta say i prefer the feel of maple, plus i enjoyed the added attack, but rosewood tends to sound clearer for pyrotechnic fretwork.

Of course, if you have good technique, and good pickups and a good tone, i think these differences are not going to matter much other than your personal preferences.

they have 2 , the black and 2-tone . they are used guitars but pretty good condition , u can add him up at msn or drop him an email !
