Artist using the same guitar

are artist/guitarist always uses the same guitar on stage?
i seen zakk wylde always uses his bullseye.
kirk hammet changes his guitar due to diff tuning.
and do local guitarist changes their guitar onstage?
plz enlighten me wit this..... 8O

for long sets - for eg playing in clubs etc.. i always bring two guitars with me.. will go there and use my main guitar.. only when the string snaps during a song.. ill change.. if not ill continue using one..

so change ur 2nd guitar is an emergency guitar when someting happen wit ur main guitar?

ya like what you said, changing to different tuning is also true. Especially when you're performing using a guitar with a floyd rose bridge and then you need to change tunings in 5 minutes. You know how irritating it can be to tune a floyd rose guitar

so thats why you may want to bring along another with the specific tuning

i guess
thats why all my guitars are tune-o-matics
easier to tune on the spot

but if possible, just bring along another one for backup, you never know what may happen during a live gig

I use 2 guitars in different tunings one always standard another will be Drop D or Drop C to play tom morello, daron malakian stuff....
