Are PRS guitars any good?

j_m_s: to be honest, i've got a classmate who got only 5bucks a day and I asked him to go with us to go eat LJS and he said, he don't even have enough money for that because he got cca and need money for recess and lunch.

But your right everyone has their on entitlement on their point of view. My point of view as long it in the HIGH price range in the general guitar selling ratio. Its a high end guitar. I never did say gibson was a super guitar everyone knows how poorly gibsons are built but it does not change the fact that their still selling at the high end guitar price.

That's different, some people just need to eat more food.

in what way different? isn't it "high end" for him? it's not so possible to have a $5 meal in long john silver... (now)
Its expensive to him but is the word high end right? its not how can you consider a 5 dollar meal high end? Wrong use of language obviously. High end means its the one of the most expensive among general pricing. Example if a meal is ranging from $3.50-$100 . And you get pocket money of $2 yes a $5 meal is expensive. But a high end meal is ranging 60-100 HIGH END. HIGH means high . Ends means dead end. Hence high end means the most expensive quater 1/4 of it kind.

Expensive and High End are two different things.

You still dont understand i said most Expensive quarter. 1/4. so it means if i divide the price groups into 4 it will be 1-2000/ 2001-4000/ 4001-6000/6001-???? isnt it in the high end group? do you understand the difference between high end and expensive. Anyway PRS can cost up to 6-7k maybe even more for limited models.

Okay. I don't really like PRS guitars... their inlays are always the usual ones. and honetly speaking, I kinda hate(hate is a strong word) their inlays... however, i heard that their bridge are one of the most stable ones... duno whether true or not..

Back on the prs subjects, what do u guys think of the satin tops? How do they sound compared to the flame maple stuff? Brighter/darker tone? thinner or thicker sound? Gassing for 1, but since don't have the cash yet(still saving) too paiseh to ask uncle to try.

Good morning. I hope you can put what you edited for your post.

+1 to NachociousD.

Teleplayer: If you hate the "usual" inlays on PRS, then are the dots inlays on Fenders more "usual"? ;)

Tops of the guitar is mostly for looks. if the body is made of the same material then it should sound the same.

Back on the topic of PRSes.

Shioks, I've not tried any satin tops one. So far those I've played are the flamed maple tops (those sound good enough dang it!)

Just go try la. wear a credit card around your neck and go in (pun intended)

haha. Id say you should give the CU22, McCarty, SC245 or SC250 and maybe a Mira or hollowbody if those interest you.

That'd give you a clear idea on what PRSes are like.

RyanZ: I prefer them.. lolz... i also prefer les paul's one.. but in my opinion, the nicest one is synyster gates' one.. whoa.. damn nice.
