whatever it is im pretty sure you want to keep your guitar in a hardcase eventually, and shipping a guitar in a hardcase (even travelling around from home to jamming with your guitar in a hardcase) will definitely greatly put your mind at ease. haha.

Boxed I guess. You could request them to double box the guitar for greater security, but I guess shipping costs might go up a bit.

I think they will just put it in a box with foams and ship it. If you do not have shipping insurance on the guitar, then pray hard that your guitar arrive to you in one piece.
