Just a thought, cos i'm seeing lots of coverage on the usual guitar greats like Becker, Vai and such. They are great imo, but anyone here into the jap bands or players like Tak Matsumoto(B'z), Norifumi Shima(Concerto Moon) or bands like SeikimaII, Galneryus or Onmyouza etc etc...... :roll:

just started out liking all the jap stuff really. still can't get tak matsumoto stuff here, tho i do remember someone mentioning an online store somewhere..
love x japan myself. also, wonder if u guys heard of a guy called kazumasa oda? not a guitarist per se but songs are vunderful too.
would love to get into more jap stuff. any recommendations to get my feet wet? preferably with readily available cds in sg...cheers

jap cds in singapore are ridiculously priced at hmv.....so never ever get from there. either d/l or get from online. yeah akira takasaki too nearly forgot about him......
haha thor....tat one damn hard to find man....but to quench ur thirst for such can go try Concerto Moon this band.....terror i tell u :twisted:

wat pickups does tak matsumoto use? he's one of my fav jap guitarists... the other is sugizo and that kaagra fella...
well yea...l'arc was one of the first bands i listened to, they still rock big time now. i suspect tak is using duncans.....but ill go check up my mags to see if there's any info on his setup.....btw his signature lp has got a nice finish.

ahhh... no need already thanx... apparently tak uses a gibson burstbucker type 1 in the neck and a burstbucker type 2 in the bridge...
