anyone enlisting tmr?

It's a phase we all have to go thru..guys I mean. :)

No worries dude, just follow instructions while you're there, make more friends and you'll be fine and definately fitter in a couple of weeks time then you are now.

what! Later or tmr you enlist?

How about our kopitiam challenge? Remember, left eye to left eye, right eye to eight eye, 31st DEC2007, Jurong east central!!!

hehe, kidding only. Anyway, good luck with everything, going in and making new friends, away from the internet and keyboard warriors will do good for the developement of mind and body.

soon will be over, good luck and take care!

good luck dude!

btw..is there any risk of going into commandos if you're pes b and failed the IQ test? I know im doomed for commandos cos i have 3 more brothers at home, and i failed the IQ test...im banking on the pes b to save me from that...any hope?(i know B is just like A, but maybe commandos unit will hopefully take in only A??)

if you didn't get the letter to report on enlistment day to Hendon camp, relax, you won't be going commando.. commando is a mono intake unit, they don't take in people from tekong. I don't think guards has any intake at the moment though...... Btw I HEARD that next few intakes quite easy to go command school...

shiet man..havent got my enlistment letter. I certainly hope they wont lower their standards to pes B...My poly should officially end in march tho. Hopefully can go to the normal july intake. Thanks for the info anyway!

how i would really like to say something like 'it is not as bad as the stories make it seem' but, i am sorry dude

don't believe all the stories you hear. it is not as complicated as you think. the truth of the matter is, your unit posting is RANDOM

different units have different intakes. when i was serving NS, my enlistment was in april, and my POP coincided with the intake for 2SIR, for one. the january batch before me were destined for units such as 40SAR and SAFPU

this happens because in combat units an entire battalion will ord at the same time. but different units ORD at different times. and then some units are evergreen, which means they have regular intakes throughout the year

Sux man... I should be going NS already but alas I'm 2 years behind everyone in education... Two more years of poly before I go NS...

I'd kinda like to get it over and done with soon, and come out a man... =)

it's always hard to think well of NS before u go in,
cos ur so kan chiong and all the horror stories u hear..
and especially when u are IN it, doing guard duty, or kena 7 extra..

but once ur over it, give it a couple years, when ur married and got kids
and u go back for reservist, and u see ur old buddies, and u talk about how your active time.. and how the NSFs nowadayz are like girls cos they live in chalets in tekong and how it was like ".. during our time ah... "
u will realize it was a good experience

it is the part of our life, that we give
as sons of singapore.
:)

haha bro, relax la, I'm just speaking from experience. I'm serving army now in Manpower...
To be honest, unit posting isn't as random as you think, they actually do look at a lot of factors before deciding your posting.
