Anyone else has UX2?

Well, I bought it a few weeks ago. I find the clean tones to be great but the heavy ones aren't and that's the problem seeing I'm more of a metalhead. When the gain is pulled 50%, there's like a fizz after playing and the palm mute notes are dull.

I'm thinking of getting the expansion pack called METAL SHOP or something. New amps, effects and so on. Anyone got them?

Never heard of the amp pack. might check it out. found the heavy presets to be abit weak. I got the UX1 yesterday.

you WILL NEED the metal shop pack for metal or any high gain tones. they are seriously a big upgrade from the stock models. i got mine cheaper off some guy from the SD boards.

as for the fizz, thats a common trait for pod tones. you need to tweak and tweak in order to minimise it.

ive got some cool presets gotten off http://www.one-man-army.us/Forum/index.php , pm me.

fanir, what speakers are you using to monitor?

Basically my Panasonic Headphones through the Toneport input. I have hi fi speakers but I seldom use them to monitor as it sounds a little muddy.

Eh? I've checked Line 6 and damn, you need a credit card to buy them, I've got $100 cash lol!

Will PM soon.

you should be able to do more during the mixing stage. loads of things you can do. from the plug-ins to routing the output to external efx and re-recording into computer. or even playing back through a guitar amp and mic-ing it again....

one thing you got to understand is that a headphone is good for soft balancing. if you want to listen 'metal', you got to use big big speakers+subs.

ah, maybe you're right but i find it hard to record if what i hear whilst playing sounds crap.

anyway, i was wondering, will adding a stompbox like behringer gdi 21 add a certain chug/crunch to the whole sound?

also, i've been to citymusic surveying about the latest gearbox vst and crap, it costs 500sd. maybe i'll ask if there's a cut for existing toneport users. atm though, im not going to come out anymore cash.

cash strapped liao. :D

I see that you've also asked at KVR. Someone suggested Spinal Puppet model, so I tried it and found that, with the right cab sim, it's quite good for metal tone.

Have you tried it? If so, what do you think?
