The first batch of stocks would probably be arriving at the end of July. I'm not unveiling the brands and models yet. Do visit the blog often for updates. Thank you.

Many thanks to ireallyloveguitars and AzNjT for voting.

may i know, in term of non authentic, is it a copy of the isntrument, up till the headstock design but with another brand name or everything will be the same plus the brand name in close resemblance to the real brand it modelled after?

Non-authentic equals to every detail is of close resemblance to the authentic ones. The headstock would have the exact brand name and design on them. They are also made of the same wood and same hardware. As for the pick-ups which many of you would be concerned. It depends on the manufacturer to put self-wound stock pick-ups or if lucky, high end pick-ups like Seymour Duncan, P90s or EMGs may be fitted.

woahh, sound good, but wont that be mistaken as counterfeit?

Iam just worried that people might buy it and sell it as the real instrument which cost much higher in used market....

It is a counterfeit. So it wont be mistaken. Every authentic Fender and Gibson guitars comes with paperwork and serial number. So, please do not worry about that. The guitars i'm selling come with no paperwork. However, they do have bogus serial numbers. Despite of the serial number it comes with, buyers would usually ask for the serial number for authentication.

Hmm...

copyright infringement and trademark laws....

Correct me if I'm wrong if this is illegal.

The products I'm selling are for people who do not mind owning a imitation. I do aware that some people would prefer the authentic ones. So please, feel free to ask me about anything regarding my products.

Ok, I was just looking out for you in case you weren't aware thats all.

Cheers!

okie dokie. Thanks for the reply.

Imho, its better to be a bit discreet bout it. Coz the problem wont be with the buyer who are aware of what they are buying, but more on those who will use it as a money making thingy, selling to those who has no idea and might not be as well informed.

Heh, i dont care about right or wrong most of the time, but if it involved something replica and even up till the brand(for geetars-headstock design plus brand name) i think it will be better to keep low profile. Theres an official gibson office in signapore, might not be worth it if they decided to take legal action over such thing...

anyway, just imho

Thank you guys. I'm aware of that. All posts will only stay for 24 hours. I would have them edited after that. I do know the risks.

Hmm, I just read your post in the "Great-deals" forums and found this thread.

As far as I'm concerned, non-authentic = fake. Last time I checked, selling fake goods in Singapore (and buying them!) is a criminal offense, regardless of whether you market them as "non-authentic", "imitation" or "replica".

Furthermore, I don't believe that James would let this happen on this forum.

Agreed cherns. It is not an issue of deleting after 24 hours or whatever. One simply cannot be promoting copyright-infringing products here - it's illegal.

Please direct all queries to the email at the blog or tagboard. It would be greatly appreciated. And the thread at Great Deals has been removed. Thank you guys.

managed to catch a glimspe of the blogshop before it's taken down. i guess each person has different opinions abt fake guitars. so let's just leave this matter and wish the blogshop owner the best of luck. we should be glad that the blog address is removed from Soft. ;) if not i guess it would definitely cause a stir here in Soft. am i right to say that ?

didnt even stay for 24 hours. hahaha.

Wishing him the best?

We may certainly have differing opinions about buying fake goods, but there's no doubt as to the illegality of his actions and the implications it has for himself, the medium of which he does his advertising through, as well as those who buy from him.

Here's a link to a series of legislative measures that Singapore has come up with to address such issues - http://www.ipos.gov.sg/topNav/leg/
