hi everyone. Jus curious to see how many MEGADETH fans over here. Im a big MEGADETH fan & im sure some of u knew abt the remixed & remastered Megadeth's past 7 albums(EMI Capitol), personally remixed by Dave Mustaine, wif previously unreleased rare bonus tracks. They are really A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! 8O

Also, MEGADETH's new album, The System Has Failed will be out on 14th Sept. The new single, "Die Dead Enough" really kickass, man. :)

Is it true that Vinny Coliauta is on drums?? Can u confirm?

Yupz, Vinnie Colaiuta, one of the best jazz fusion drummers in the World, is behind the drums of MEGADETH's new album, THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED!!! The bassist is by Jimmy Sloas, one of the top bassist sessionist too. Dave Mustaine hires only the best professionals to help record this album.

However, Vinnie is jus a sessionist for this record. Nick Menza has joined MEGADETH & will be the drummer on tour next year, while Jimmy Sloas is bassist for MEGADETH now. Ex-bassist David Ellefson wanted too much $$$ to join back MEGADETH & is rejected.

y must bands get so political these days....It seems to me that this has become some kinda fad.

The point is the lyrics in MEGADETH's songs are mostly true reflections of real-life events & things going on around us. And tat is wat makes MEGADETH so endearing to all the fans.

I rather listen to songs tat means something any day than those rubbish NU-METAL music wif crappy lyrics & worse still, lousy song structures. When u see the album cover of the upcoming THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED, & look at all the terrorism, crafty US government policy, human rights violations etc.....u will understand why Dave Mustaine named the album as such.

I hav always love the lyrics from RUST IN PEACE which ranging from bloodshed in Holy War, to government Top Secret at Area51.

Lyrics ranging from World Peace being taken as bullshit by governments, to Courage to fight for freedom in the song, Devils's Island in PEACE SELLS album......and the list goes on......this is wat makes MEGADETH so captivating for me. ;)

hi

i would like to salute the fellow who put this up. megadeth is my favourite band man. people just dont understand megadeth. they underestimate them and prefer bands like metallica to them. i mean.. yeah they're both different thrash bands but dave is the mastermind. megadeth had such a good fair share of players like kerry king, chris poland, al pitrelli from savatage and marty FRIEDman. mustaine is serious when its business unlike st.anger crap where i think its like a jamming session album. megadeth never leave their roots. though their heavy metal now.. they're still thrashy. they'll never drop the name thrash metal. and i respect that. metallica sounds nu-metal now. another band i would like to salute is testament. this 2 bands will stay with me man.. im a big megadeth fan too. their lyrics are so powerful, it really talks about life. anyone wants to know me

Hey, Joshua. Cool to meet a big MEGADETH fan here!!! U hav jus nailed it. Tats rite, alot of pple dont understand MEGADETH well enough & often under-rate it when compared to Metallica. No offense to Metallica fans, i like Metallica too but only strictly their older albums up to Black album.

Wat i love most about MEGADETH is the balance between melody & technical complexity which they achieved so well in almost all of their songs. Now tats something not many bands can do & MEGADETH do it in the most ferocious & ruthless manner tat makes their music so awesome & heavy tat i wanna headbang to it everytime.

So for those who are new to MEGADETH, check out this link -> http://www.insidepulse.com/article.php?contentid=6858 to read the legacy of MEGADETH.

Do check out the review for MEGADETH's upcoming album due 14th Sept 2004 here -> http://www.insidepulse.com/article.php?contentid=20348. i for one cant wait to hav this new album in my hands!!! ;)

Oh, forgot to mention something, u r damn right, Joshua. All the lead guitarists of MEGADETH hav helped lend their style in making MEGADETH even better. My personal fav is Marty Friedman. Also, Dave Mustaine's song-writing skill is phenomenal, man. ;) It is his songs tat shape MEGADETH's legacy. I totally love his song-writing & guitar playing. To me, he's already a metal legend in music history. The remixing & remastering he has done to the past 7 albums (jus released on 27th July) are unbelievably AMAZING!!!

Wah.. DM, you change your camping spot from HWZ forums to here?

hehe.....Still active in HWZ forums, man. ;) I thik alot of MEGADETH fans in USA & Canada are gonna cause "the system to break down" on 14th Sept when the new album is out. :D

There is alot of adrenalin pumping over at MEGADETH forum -> http://forums.megadeth.com and judging from the 1st single, DIE DEAD ENOUGH tats playing on USA radios now & another song, KICK THE CHAIR, the new album looks like its gonna slay all the mediocre music tats happening nowadays. ;)

Btw, hav ya check out the remixed & remastered albums? From Peace Sells to Risk, + his side project MD.45 where he sing all the songs this time instead of Lee Ving. The sound quality & the changes in some of the songs are......i cant find the right words to describe, man.....they r truly amazing!!!

HEAR the Exclusive Interview: Megadeth's Dave Mustaine

Check out the downloadable audio clips of Dave Mustaine talking in the interview @KPBI Radio 106.7. Some of the audio clips damn funny, man. *laugh* Especially on how he praised the drummer Vinnie Colaiuta who lay the drum work on the new MEGADETH album -> "sitting in the same room wif Vinnie Colaiuta, i mean, how can u not be ready to go with somebody like him, wat a genius......" =p
