hey guys,
We have a small event coming up in our school and for that i wanted to play a medley of songs with my band...but a little confused on how to do a medley...what songs to choose, should it be in the same key, should be at the same tempo...cos i wanted to do songs like.....
sweet child o mine,pretty woman,beat it,enter sandman.....i know its a big contrast....but thats what i was goin for...popular stuff ...popular with all crowds....any ideas??...

peace, love and good happiness and stuff-sid

might as well copy what metallica did last time. they played smells like teen spirit, 7 seven nation, lenny kravitz's are u gonna go my way, beat it (i just found out the original song was played by van helen)..(did i miss anything out?)
anyway, what school u from?

Any songs can be medley ... its up to your imagination on how the transition goes ... u can change at drum fill ins for songs with same tempo and same feel ... or use transition chords progression (for songs in different keys) ... immediately change the song ... do drum solo in between ... use common chord progression ... the possibilities are endless

you can put in any songs together its up to your imagination ... but it would be better if the songs are in the same feel, tempo, matching lyrics, etc etc ... as it would be easier and wont confuse the audience that way.

personally, i think it would be cool if you guys can put together different genres with different feel.

hmm interesting...
suppose i wanted to do sweet child of mine, beat it,pretty woman,etc....can anyone suggest some possibe medleys??

use ur imagination..... no need to be same chord for the ending n intro oso..... as long it sounds nice n nt out of the timing, its cool to me... when,s the gig? outsiders invited?
