Any one tried this pedal before? It's supposed to be voiced towards the Mesa sound, is it really anything like any mesa? The sound clips on the site do sound good....I play some Dream Theater stuff so this looks interesting plus its relatively cheap right? Hopefully Davis has this pedal...

Nope Davis doesn't have this. I called Joseph Chang and spoke to him. They only bring in the DuHast (Rammstein replacement) and a couple of others like the fatal tube.

I am in touch with Dimitar Nalbantov, the guy who actually played those sound clips for AMT - he plays thru an Ibanez, and he sounds quite a bit like Steve Vai. You may need something heavier for Dream Theater - and maybe more powerful pickups.

davis they have, just that they're out of stock for now. the next batch will be coming in in 3 months time, and i've already booked one for myself. man, they're sellling real fast.

crozzfire, did u get the chance to try it out before it was out of stock? i didn't get the chance man. Permission to ask u a stupid qustion, how you book one?

haha, i didnt get a chance to try. when i went i inquired about the california sound, they recently ran out of stock as its selling fast, so obviously i didnt get to try it. haha the person told me stock will be arriving in 3 months time, and he automatically put my name down on the waiting list, which is kind of pleasing to me. haha.

8fingermadness, u can call davis for the price. i forgot i think, should not be too ex.

there were a few threads on petrucci's forum regarding this pedal awhile back.
it's really just a good solidstate sounding pedal that's capable of some nice leads.

don't expect a tiny blue box to replace a road king.
