amps and local voltage

you could possibly get it replaced with a 240v transformer but i'm sure this would have some effect on the tone. depending on the amp it may or may not be possible, i was told there wasnt enough room for a replacement transformer in my triaxis..

dei ...kindly give more info if you want futher help...
What amp ????

Most amps nowadays c/w with dual even triple primary options!!
Some just need tweaks as the transformers have a 240v option!
Best avoid amps that dont have that option !!!

nice. well all you need is a step down transformer, no need to modify the amp.

on that note, does anyone know of where i can get stepdown transformers with multiple outputs? carrying seperate transformers around in the back of my rack for all the 110v gear is a huge bitch..

ya right !! ....you can get tube amp transformers at Sims

Get back to Soldano and seek their advice !!

The Avenger uses Mercury Mag. transformers (i think) and there is a probability that it comes with a 240v primary.

You will want to get their recommended transformer. Transformers can greatly affect your tone, so you probably won't want to skimp on anyhow cheap ones even if they match your amp specs.

Recntly... a Mojave was sent over for this very same purpose and the owner got all the info prior to dropping it off for the conversion... it had the 240v /120v option requiring internal rewiring and a pilot lamp change.
