Am I rather picky for a beginner?

Well , I'm a pure novice in this. So am I too picky if I were to want to have a black acoustic guitar that is made by Ibanez around 100~200? Or I should just buy a cheap starter kit that costs around 60~?

1) I love black cause it can't get that dirty and when you love something , you would cherish and be motivated to stay longer with it. Right?
2) Acoustic > Electric , for me at least so that I can sing while playing my guitar anywhere , anytime.
3) Ibanez cause I've heard it that it's a good manufacturer from my friend.

So does anyone can recommend some black acoustic guitars (regardless of branding I guess) that can at least last for 1~2years and is good for beginners like me. Thanks in advance!

honestly what kinda tone are you looking for?
I love ibanezes but im not a fan of their acoustics (they sound too bright)
i actually like maestros ( reasonable and beautiful tones)
so get a friend or someone who knows about guitar, test the guitars out, decide which you like, and start saving! :D

vicki(:

Nope, you're not picky and a black Ibanez acoustic that ranges from 100 ~ 200 should suffice. I doubt you can get an ibanez acoustic within that price range though. Maybe 200 plus minus.

Fingerprints are rather obvious on a black guitar and as compared to other colours I would say that black guitars get dirty the quickest and if you don't clean it often the fingerprints are pretty unsightly. =(

Here's someone selling a secondhand Ibanez acoustic on the Buy/Sell section.

That one someone book liao and I don't know why but I always give extra-care to the things I love. A lil bit of my feminine side =P

And also , my mum doesn't like me buying 2nd hand items and as she's the one providing the moolah, I got to listen to her lor , bo bian , if not no guitar.

What you mean by tone? Acoustic guitars sounds the same to me but I prefer the one that is a bit higher pitching I guess. I'll take a look about the maestros(?)

Noted. 200+/- then.

Thanks all for giving me greater insights. =D

I think I made my mind to buy an Ibanez AEL10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric. I can't seem to find it in Peninsula. So is it only sold in Swee Lee?

do check out the maestro sd-1 (black colour) if you're at peninsula.

im sure that they will be more then happy to let you try it out and maybe give you some insights.
