I think AVP 2 is awesome. Much better than AVP 1. Take into consideration how Paul Anderson ruined AVP 1, the Brothers Strauss picked up and executed AVP2 with a lot more fluidity from where the last film left off. They really saved the entire AVP franchise for me. Original tracks, original aliens (not giger's), how a real predator should be (ruthless! & all for itself), comic true Predalien + everyone dies! (women, child, babies, expected, unexpected) What more could you ask for? Sure it might not have as much finesse (hardcore fan standards) but that's only because the Brothers Strauss didn't make part 1 but saved it instead and pushed for a second. Go watch this film.

i think the endings a sucky suspencefull one but it gives the show more room to grow & expand for a third one
like I Am Legend, definately sequel, or prequel wud be kewler

Can someone ban unknown/bad directors from making more AVP movies? Its ruining the whole franchise. I mean its very obvious that both of these movies aren't even anywhere near as good as their predecessors, let alone stand up against the test of time. The effects aren't that spectacular. This movie is basically teen slasher gore fest. Bad dialogue, half-assed characters and even worse plot.
Mixing two franchises into one isn't easy. Just because u combined a predator with an alien with some super power impregnanting skills doesn't mean you are pushing/expanding the franchise further, its so corny it just falls flat on its face(The climatic fight between the predalien and the predator wasn't too bad though).
It did have abit of potential though, but was really poorly executed IMO. Its really sad you know, when you watch any of the first three alien films or the first predator film and then you watch this steaming pile of bullshit. I feel shameful for even trying to compare them, its almost blasmephous.
I don't think its gonna attract new fans. Its really more of a tribute to the older films and I really think only hardcore fanboys(like myself) should watch. I mean, watching aliens and predator on the big screen, it never gets old.
Btw, what year is this abomination supposed to be set in? I don't see any pulse rifles

and the national guard got wiped out in 5 minutes? real crap....
but i liked the scene where the alien dragged the body back to the pool and started head biting it, and the predator trying to be funny.....shove the stick through the alien's head...hahaha

what a bummer! AVP2 is so damn lousy. So much human involvement and wasting time on human character building. Load of crap! Might as well rename it as AlienS Vs Predator Vs Humans. Lousy strauss brothers production. One predator fight all the aliens, yeah right....one man horsecrap with all that gidgety gadget bulllshit.
When i saw the predator plane taking off from their civilization then dropping a pod into earth, I thought there would be a team of predators. But..the hell?!?!!? only one. Would love to see more violence, gore and mutilation of the humans.

it definately cant be compared to the aliens or predator movies
theres just something about old school movies that just....hit the spot...pure satisfaction
im not saying that new movies arent great..but older movies are just more entertaining in every aspect..they just rock out more..heh..
but i think it was kewl that we got to see the predators planet (even for that short while) for the first time on the screen..they should do a predator 3 & call back danny glover..he was fantastic..
