Adobe Audition Recording - Funky!!!

hey blueprintstudios, how's it going?

Yeah the drums part was kinda on purpose. Was experimenting with the reverb. I usually just put in some EQ effects on the drums but I was amazed with the sound that was produced when I put in some reverb.

I put in a touch of "Medium Auditorium" hahaha guess I over did it.
Glad you liked the solo's. It took me quite a number of takes before I nailed/almost nailed it.

Will come up with some more - Rock on\m/

Gee I really didn't pay too much attention to the details as I was only concerned about the sound. But here it is, check out the links below for the Guitar details:

Lead / Solos
John Petrucci 's tone / Zoom G2.1U patch

Clean
Red Hot Chili Peppers ' guitar tone / Zoom G2.1U

Metallica 's tone / Zoom G2.1U / Digitech GNX4 patches

I directly record my composition via USB (Guitar > Multi Effects > PC) sometime I use a crybaby in between the guitar and G2.1u. I usually have my ear dictate if the sound is too "dry" or not. I tend put in a bit more "chorus" or "delay" on a patch for lead/solos.

For the clean tone on the guitar you can use the patch from RHCP or Metallica. Metallica's has more chorus on it and is very nice to use when doing clean leads. If you want a more funky guitar sound, use the RHCP patch then take out the chorus and delay (to your liking) then add a bit of wah.

Hope this helps man
