LTD MH-50

Hi Subversion,
Can you pls kindly do a review for LTD MH-50? There is one at Davis so appreciate your help on it.

Many thanks

Hi 8)

get this: i'm not 'supposed' to review anything.

in any case, it's still in the works, i hope to finish many by this week, after Xmas, it's work pile-up for me... *sigh* i won't put up any reviews until i've exhausted certain 'inspections', patience yes?

Don't get me wrong man...I'm not saying you were supposed to review it...it's just that you said that the review for it was in the works some time back and well, I was looking forward to it...=D

Sub, many thanks for the reviews you have posted.

Might I suggest a few things you might want to add in your reviews?

1) Amps / Effects used
2) Medium gain (think blues, classic rock) performance
3) Responsive-ness of the guitar to nuances of playing - vibrato, picking dynamics etc etc

Amp/Efx used would give us an idea of what you are hearing.

I think it would be important as you usually go clean then high gsin - middle ground would be nice.

Finally, point 3, althought VERY relative to the individual & instrument, a well made guitar should be able to represent one's nitty gritties well! Moreover, you are the reviewer, as time goes by, we would know your tastes (like how I know u like GAIN!!!!) and can better approximate what to expect.

Me 3 cents....

Alright! I've been waiting a long time...

hi subversion... it would be nice to do some reviews on electric/acoustic guitars of the lower price range. Some beginners who are looking for a cheap guitar to help start off their journey may not be equipped to pick out a good beginner guitar that suits their needs. some suggestions :

1) Epiphone Les Paul Special II
2) Ibanez GRG270
3) Peavey Raptor Plus EXP

Steve- i'm selective when it comes to the beginner models, many aren't quite reputable, not worth scrutinizing them at length. at best, they'll be mentioned in casual thread replies. the ones which are worth it would be put up for review, as for the rest listed, i'd still try them out but no write-ups.

IBANEZ GIO
those who are keen on Ibanez Gio models, the worthy ones are reviewed here (refer to review database), i would strongly suggest avoiding models with the ILT vibrato units/ non-Edge/ZR ones for that matter. if you are bent on getting a whammy bridge, save up a little more & select models from Ibanez's standard range 8)

haha.. i dont think we beginners will need a long lengthy review. A short opinon write-up would be nice, especially for me. I've a very small budget right now and trying to get at least a do-able practice electric guitar.

in that case my friend, it's best you list your preferences in a fresh thread (if you aren't doing that already) & ask for collective opinion. i'm not trying to be a snob or something but i don't want to think too much of these entry-level units.

i can show you some stuff @ swee lee if you can make the time 8)

anyway subversion, may I know your opinon on Epiphone Les Paul Special? Its the guitar thats most affordable and attractive to me. I'm basically using it mainly as a practice guitar.
