Hello Forumers,
Maestro Guitars is primarily an acoustic guitar specialist but we also do all kinds of electric guitar repairs. I started off playing the electric guitar, but now I'm most comfortable with nylon and steel strings. I've been repairing guitars both electric and acoustic for about 6 years now and out of the 6 years, slightly over 2 years as a professional. Maestro Guitars, however young, is dynamic company with knowledgeable professionals. Talk is cheap however, so here's a recent bridge conversion that we did for an acoustic guitar.
Any questions regarding repairs, feel free to post here. I'm busy, but I will try my best to answer queries every 2 days or so.
regards,
KC
Acoustic Bridge repair
The Les Paul style TOM bridge has been irking this player so we're converting it to a bone saddle bridge.
The Cavity was routed out and filled up with a solid piece of grain matching rosewood
Measurements to ensure good intonation were taken and the saddle slot is about to be routed out using the highly precise stewmac saddle jig.
Here's the saddle slot routed.
Here's the finished result, after a dash of linseed oil on the bridge, the lines of the repair are almost invisible.
