ok this might seem a noobish question but i've always wonderred:
for those buskers playing keyboard in public (sometimes with amps/speakers) where do they get their power from? is it battery or is there some hidden AC powerpoint somewhere?

my instrument needs AC power, is there any way to power-up in public places?

if you go to ECP hawker centre, the one with the famous chicken wings etc. you see those china kids doing all the crazy stunts and juggling stuff with their feet upside down etc. their cdplayer is powered by a car battery.

before I forget, the other method that I use is , go to simlim buy a UPS, then from IEC > power socket extension and use as you would as if it's a normal portable battery. but it's VERY heavy.and usually don't last too long unless you get a heavy duty one.

i see... thanks for the replies =)

how much does this cost? perhaps an estimate or price range would be helpful.

pikachu : the one i got is $70. crappiest, but gives me 10 mins lifespan to shutdown my pc if there's a power outage. but I used it to power my Korg D888 recorder before , which is 32watts.and it lasted around 30 mins and the power died haha..

and this one is already 6kg.
