hey,
just some question about the rally guitars.
i have tried the model gl-300 and it felt great.
but there's few things i have been considering about.
the rally gl-300 has alot of good reviews about it,but if i'm not wrong , its quite heavy,
2nd is that the brand , towards me is unheard of, so i don't really know much of it's quality etc.
and most importantly , it's made in china , is it trust-able ? enlighten me please :D

thanks in advance :D:p

hello... i own a gl-400, pretty sure the hardware and all is mostly the same...
had it for over half a year now, and i am totally enjoying it!
it indeed IS quite heavy... mine even slipped out a strap and the headstock kinda chipped pretty bad :( but that was probably the strap cuz it was like $10 :O use a locking strap for this guitar!!
i think the quality is pretty good, despite the brand... this was also one of the fears i had before i bought the guitar, but now i know that its pretty much worth the money. however, i feel that the machine heads on this guitar isn't exactly the most stable, it detunes easily at times, so consider swappin em out.

well these are all from my personal experience, and its been overall positive so far... so hope you make a right choice with teh guitar! :D

wow , thanks alot man :D then i think i will not be buying it due to the weight . cause i don't think i really love it when a guitar is so heavy and i will be holding on to it for almost half a day :X thanks anw :D:p

got mine. it is great really for the les paul tone and all. BUT i had major issues with the finish cracking. nasty. not worth spending on refinishing anyway so I will keep it as it is. But yea, it is a great copy at a great price.

MIC doesn't equal not trust-able.
So what if it's made in china? The particular crafter could be dedicated in his work and produces a very good piece.
And so what if another brand is MIA? It doesn't mean the quality will be immaculate.
Buy by feel, not by brand/price.
Craftsman may be cheap but it's good.

cause i've always seen people commenting on MIC guitars saying they are inferior compared toward others.i myself tried the rally gl-300 before and find it good , except for their weight.
i know craftsman produced good acoustic guitars , but i never really tried it on electric ., gonna try it soon on one of these days.
thanks alot :D

this might be my 1,375th post addressing the issue of trustworthiness when it comes to chinese guitars (together with indonesia & other countries with a pariah QC reputation- suppossedly, of course). the country of origin doesn't dictate QC control- it's the reputation of the manufacturer. i won't hesitate to purchase Chinese Ibanez Artcore models; these are some of the best quality control manifestations out there without paying for the brand name goodwill.

say you come across a bad American guitar, will you then question the American's trustworthiness?

the original les paul (original as in 'Gibson') is definitely heavy (not the recent incarnations, though...). the copies we come across did not manifest obligations to replicate this massive appeal. they weigh as much as the average electric guitar.

I have tried it, and while i find the clean tones really nice, i found the pickups to be muddy when the gain is turned up. The tone isn't exactly LP either, i found it to be more a heavy sounding strat, perhaps due to the lack of mass.
