A softer side to us headbangers?

Was searching through my collection of music CDs and I decided to play some sentimental pop music. It's been quite some time since I last listened to pop music and we're talking about pop music that existed 4-5 years ago.

I think its a great way to relax by listening to some music of a "contradicting" genre away from the hussle and bussle of heavy metal music.

A softer side to us headbangers perhaps?

listening to blues is a good way to cool.makes the brain feel very peaceful.talking about material from gary moore to jimi hendrix and more.

its not just softer side to headbangers i guess. Its just the way we human function, seeking variety among familarity once in a while.

everyday day eat abalone and sharkfin will reach the point of sickness and crave for rojak and satay once in a while. Even if having to move back to abalone and sharkfins everyday after that.

hehe, it has more to the psychological side of us in term of thinking, habits and preferences than to do with music in a general term

imho

i believe inside everyone of us music lovers is the presence of instrinsic love for the subject. this is the reason why, in addition to every Mayhem, Darkthrone, 1349, Satyricon, Marduk etc CD i own, there lies a Harry Connick Jr, Candy Dulfer, Spandau Ballet, Bananarama, Simply Red CD as well

it stems from two things:

A: quality is quality, whatever the genre

B: too much of any one thing is boring after a while

hahaha i listen to Mika - Happy Ending. HAHAHA. whenever people look at my ipod, they'll be like "HUH?! whats this doing here"

Ever gotten a little sick of those earphones and just took them off to listen to the world go by sometimes? haha!

Disagreed, I absolutely cannot stand mainstream music. I also hate indie with a passion. Only genre I like is metal. Classical can appreciate and learn from it. But not really like.
