A new bassist looking for a new bass.

My vote is going down to any yamaha and pick up a BB414 and give it a go. Slim neck, decent tone options and it's about 500 bucks. Although i did notice that the current batch of BB414s, neck has a different finish.

agree on BB414. I'm playing it regularly for 3 years now and it gets more and more comfortable everyday, and liking it even more.
