I tried the set-up below:
Solid-state amplifier > Beta Aivin HM-200 (analog high-gain distortion) > Line 6 Floor Pod > Guitar
On my HM-200, its my usual 'fat metal' setting. Its a full analog distortion pedal using a 9V power supply. My Floor POD has no amp models activated, just the cleans because I was intending to use it for cleans and effects, and my HM-200 for my high-gain distortion.
Well, tonewise it wasn't bad, but the effects were quite screwed up. The delay, even on 1/10, would repeat at the same volume and slowly die away, not like how a delay normally behaves. Also, the other effects I tried also sounded just weird.
Anyone has encountered this before? And any solutions? Thanks very much! I know that digital MFX processors do not usually work well with analog pedals, but is this the reason, or is there something wrong elsewhere?
* note, I tried the above set-up mainly as experimentation, I was never interested in effects, since I'm a purely drive kinda person, so please do not tell me to get a delay, or chorus, or whatever pedal... Because I'll ignore. Haha!
