A good place to buy gibson les paul std/custom.

get one from overseas.

i am very sure you can get a better offer from a reputable dealer in the USA, especially one that's clearing off stock. (minus musician's friend, music123 or guitar centre).

i've always had good experiences with dealers like wildwoodguitars. willcuttguitars. magdonmusic, they handpick the instrument for you, post you pictures and a lot of correspondance. on a negative side, you cannot try the instrument but i've bought 2 guitars from reputable dealers (one PRS Hollowbody and a Gibson Customshop Les Paul 58') and both were immaculate.

that's just a suggestive theory, it won't happen unle$$ $omething get$ in Gib$on'$ way... that discussion is history, let's just leave it as that 8)

whasts wrong with telling the truth...if service in freakin SL is bad than it is Bad !!
They wait with their mouth open for foreign customers who buy bulk or are not fussy abt getting ripped.

I have lost count ...but there are a few nice fellas in SL ... look for them !!

What i would say is Go to Swee LEE - BUY to your hearts content - BUT Don't complain here ....tell them off there !!

Try 12th Fret in Toronto. I have bought a couple of excellent used guitars from there. Even with shipping and GST they come out substantially cheaper than here.

http://www.12fret.com/used/index.html#SOLIDBODY

They ask you what kind of set up you want, what strings etc, and then they set up it up for you and ship.

They have a LP standard signed by Buddy Guy for C$1800, or about $2400, add a little for shipping and you have a great deal! Check out the web site.

Highly recommended for great service.

ho ho that les paul sure looks good but at 11 pounds hurhru 5kgs you better be a big strong dude hurhur

i dun find lespauls dat heavy. just get a 3.5" strap. it helps relief the weight on ur shoulder quite alot. If ur @!#!#@%%! skinny and weak, den ........ better start going to the gym this holidays! 8) 3 more weeks till sch reopens! damn!!

hmm just asking what les pauls do you play? the epiphone ones or the Gibby ones? 2 hours with a 5kg weight on ur shoulder and you don't get aches?

both...my epi is bout 10lbs(4+kg) the gibby bout 5kg. i do get strains aft bout 1 1/2hrs. but usually take 5 mins break to go toilet aft tat. lol.

you must be quite a fit and strong young man to have those sentiments, even a caucasian also has to admit the les pauls are heavy after prolonged strapping.

i salute you for being of a strong physique. Great for you. Too bad im small and puny and i don't go to the gym my bad.

i dun go gym often and im not dat strong. i guess its mind over matter? im only 170cm and considered small in sch. urghhh. i wanna grow taller!! gotta go hang at monkey bars more often downstairs wif all the kindergarten kids =D. any1 wanna join?

the average bass is heftier than its guitar counterpart, if bass players can see this labour through, guitar players can do likewise.

however, there's nothing to prove with endurance, if your spine needs a break, make sure you do give it some.
