'50's Rounded or '60's slim taper

personally i think both feel great. but i tend to just pick the thicker neck option. Cus they cause less hand fatigue for me, also the tone is ever so slightly better.

thicker necks improve tone more on strats imho.

i'm playing a '95 LP with the 50s neck, and to me it just adds to the character of the guitar

went down to SL to try the Lps out! Well from the tryout, actually really cant feel "the" big of a difference in the both necks, but the 50s neck did add alot of presence and fullness in the tone! dunno weather if was in the pups, but the difference in sound definately there!

60s neck, sounded rather thin and weak, den again could hv been the pups, overall frm the tryout today, i think my money is on the 50s neck!

Although, wen i put both LPs side by side, there was a little visual difference .... well very slight though!

if both the guitars you tried are post 2002 (which im quite sure they are since they only started offering 50s and 60s neck then) then pickups should be the same

u knw wat, i juz remembered, actually SL ran out of Standards, and i tried their LP Premium ... but overall i'd get the 50s neck Standard LP.

cos i went there mainly to get a feel of both the necks! pups shouldn't be a prb as i can swap them later on!

just get a standard , with a 50s neck. they come with burst bucker pros.... personally i love these pickups... no need to change out at all.

the Burstbuckers are likeable even to me who isn't a keen fan of Gibson pickups...
