Hey guys, just wondering if I could change the 3 way toggle from a 25th Anni PRS Custom 24 SE into the 5 way rotary switch, the extra 2 choices being a split coil.

Cause i'm getting the 25th soon and i really dig the rotary switch, makes it look oh so much sexier :P, so just wondering if its possible and how much it would POSSIBLY cost?

Thanks

haha seriously? But you'll probably only be using one pickup position live. hahaha. I've seen such switches before. You should go to Scott at Sound Alchemy to get it done for you.

Honest to goodness man.. the rotary switch is a pain playing live lol. If i had the guts to have someone gut my CU24, i'd have it replaced. Seriously.

Bro, I highly recommend you dont add the rotary switch. hehe. My friend had one and found it so impractical he changed it to a 3 way switch. LOL, it's hard to switch and hard to see which pups you're using

Just my 2cents. But if you like it go ahead:)

That's true, but have you come across anyone who likes it? I just had a bizarre thought of breaking the rotary switch if i mistook it for a stuck vol pot and used too much strength:P

dont be silly man.. hah e rotor isnt that stiff. i'd think anyone with half a brain would think thrice before man handling a $3-4grand PRS?! one thing i cannot deny is that it is that it does add to the aesthetics of the PRS.. no sticking out pole

@lemonade93: go over to TYMC and ask i guess, most capable hands round these parts, SV too probably (but nvr tired their work). the replacement itself, i dont think is too complicated.

It's all good dude =)

hah i'm real curious though, most PRS slingers i know get rid of the rotor.. not the other way round. most interesting. @lemonade93: keep us updated!

Haha hey guys, will... think deeply and pray about it tonight! Hahahaha, I haven't gotten the guitar yet, but will get before next year or ngam ngam 1st January definately, so got these few days to decide, but honestly, what do you HATE about the rotary switch?

haha. Yeah it's rather impractical playing live. Why dont you try it out for a couple of weeks first, or bring it to 1 or 2 gigs to decide? Why you wanna get the SE? not the CE?:Dhehe

I know la:D just fooling around. hehe. Any particular reason why you wanna get the PRS SE? how much will it cost? if you dont mind me asking

Currently, in Malaysia lah, if i convert to SGD... about 1.2k, but may be getting a cheaper price, waiting a week or so for the dealer to come back to me whos a family member :D
