thanks! i called yamaha tampines and they told me somethin interesting...that quiklok has some company problems and they stoped bringing in any quiklok products at the moment.....maybe it may resume doing so in 1-2 mths...

currently they only have single double X...looks lke i have to be patient for a while

oh? I tot they were selling it in the clearance sale?

I've been using this model for years and no problem at all.

I believe aireydon is saying that the company quiklok is facing some industry related issues. Don't think the keyboard stands themselves have any problems.

oh? I heard quiklok only open their doors for business twice a year ?

if that's the case, of course the next popular keyboard

music stand maker is Ulimate. This model is expandable to 5 tiers ?

Don't think the Ultimate Apex can take 5 tiers. Maybe 3 at the max, but even that, it's forcing it to the max. 2 tiers is just nice for the distance between each keyboard. 3 tiers and the space gets a little too narrow. Been using it for years. Only problem, as the website said, is the T-shaped legs which makes the pedal positioning awkward (which makes the spider more enticing - second picture above). Thanks for the pics and link digihub00.

...confirm on the total weight it can take, not just how many tiers.

...Forgot to add that stablility is also another consideration.

A friend of mine once got a 2 tier stand and realised later that it could take the combined weight of the trinity prox and t2. The last I saw him, he had a 3 tier x stand (didn't note the brand) and to me, it felt a bit shaky, especially when playing his new keyboard on the 3rd tier.

BTW aireydon, don't get the quiklok t20 x stand thinking that you could get the seperate 2nd tier later. I did that some time ago and was recently disappointed by Yamaha who replied that they could not even take a special order coz the specific 2nd tier model is discontinued.

Anyway, happy shopping! :)

thanks everyone. i got reali cant find a proper 3 tier stand..so i settled with a double X two tier wit an angel adjustable 2nd tier. for the third tier..i sorta overlapped using another set of X stnad and second tier...the second tier for the single X is placeed behind my double X...:)..

sorta a cost savings solution for me ...too bad i cant see my "third" tier synth's display fully unless i stand...(cos my single X's send tier is not angle adjustabe) ..will try to post pics sooonn...a bit too BZ recently
