14th April 2007 - Deafcon II

oh yes donks, when the whole "emo" thing is over, i'll go over to being "indie/vintage". then when "indie" over i'll move on to whatever's popular. i spend my days researching on the latest trends and stuff so that i can follow them. now does my answer satisfy your curiousity as to whether i'm a poseur or not?

and to the rest of you who thinks i'm a poseur, you're right. oh and i'm a hypocrite too. and i'm superficial. would you like to touch on that? hmm i mean since you're already criticizing my dressing, why not start commenting on my character too? (=

oh and by the way, i'm not even in a band. so you can save whatever criticisms you're planning to give about my ability to play music (=

HAHA YEAH +1+1+1+1+1+1 dont ever go for gigs dude .. u'd be so dead

haha this thread is INSANE !

ppl are replying in 1 second heh

Hahah, it's strange. Because I think all sources of music inspiration are somehow emotional in one way or another. So would that somehow make myself an emokid? Hahaha.

I only have one point. Are we living for ourselves or society? And no, I'm not referring to kill the entire estate Nathan Explosion fella. As personal individuals, are we living for our own opinions and indifferences or the word of mouth from another?

Regarding the fashion over musicianship thing. Well Evan, I guess we participate in two very different music scenes and they cannot be compared. We don't believe that much in pretty 'packaging' as much as for our musicianship and passion for our brand of music.

I guess you can't change the world(for the 2nd time, I know.).

HEY MERVYN

dont know if u remember me from mosh, the really tall and big guy in the jackass shirt?

cya at deafcon! ^_^

Hey Mervyn, I was in no way criticizing your ability to play music man. I seriously wasn't, I'm being straightup right here. I was just curious because you were sorta like defending the certain group I was referring to; the dress up but can't play too good catergory of musicians.

Well, I didn't put those words in your mouth so.. Yep. To each his own man.

Goberf, you brutal lah. Hahah, seriously. I think you've watched too many Dethklok episodes already.

Look Mervyn, don't take it too seriously. I believe everybody is entitled to their own opinion, I'm just stating mine. Cheers!

Well Donks when you said "we" in your second last post you know i'm not part of that "we" right? i believe in dressing up, but only when you've worked out the music part first, because i know it helps a band gain recognition.

Looks like the original post by LarsManson which started all this discussion has disappeared, maybe he had the balls to remove it on his own volition or he didn't have any balls and someone else removed it for him.

Meanwhile we've drummed up shitloads of publicity for
DEAFCON II @ DXO on the 14TH of APRIL 2007 come on down!!!

Oh apologies there Evan. Typo, I certainly would never associate your 'playa' kind with myself.

Do you play in a band man? I would love to check you guys out. I need something local and refreshing man.
