Hi all,
I have some fiberglass slabs to let go. The pros use this stuff to make their panels and bass traps. Those of you interested in making acoustic panels and bass traps will need this stuff. You can also use rockwool, but fiberglass is much more rigid than rockwool and have great acoustic absorption. Like rockwool, you should only handle them with gloves.
Five of them have a foil facing on one side (for increased bass absorption), five of them are plain fiberglass slabs. I have:
- 5pcs of 115cm x 60cm x 5cm rigid fiberglass
- 5pcs of 115cm x 60cm x 5cm rigid fiberglass with foil-facing on one side.
What I did was stack one slab of foil-faced fiberglass with one slab of plain fiberglass to make a 10cm deep bass trap. Let the foil face the room. This absorbs a tremendous amount of bass without making the room sound too dead. Works especially well in corners.
