What's a good microphone for guitar recording?

That's both acoustic guitar and electric that runs through an amp?

Preferably below SGD150. Please recommend, thanks in advance!

how about skipping the mic and simply plug the guitar into the audio interface?

Mine is an acoustic guitar, not electro-acoustic so I can't plug in directly. I could for my electric guitar but not my acoustic. And if it allows portability when I record outdoors with my band members, it could be useful too.

For acoustic guitars, try the entry level Audio Technica AT2020 condenser microphone.

You would still need an audio interface though.

If you like portability, get a USB microphone. The Blue Yeti is good, but you might need to upsize your budget by a wee bit.
