ZOOM multi efx

ahh..i see...cos i go to city music today...den i saw both the G2 and G2.1u...and its having sale...

How's the clean sound of the G2/G2.1 ?

Heard there's alot of improvement in Zoom's distortion,
but really wanna know how the clean sounds ?

Yeah, I have the G2.1u too.
Damn, a sale? How much is it costing now?
It's worth every cent, the clean sound is pretty smashing. And I simply love all the bloody effects!
But the only downside is the display screen, it shows abbreviations, like 'Ec' for echo and so on. It's kinda hard to remember all the abbreviations as there are tons of them.
But then agian, it's but a small glitch in this magnificent machine.
The Cubase software that comes along with it is damn good too, allows you to record directly to the computer.
Do take note that you've to purchase the adapter separately, about 25-30 bucks extra. But it's a must, as you'd probably be using it loads.
Batteries just aren't worth the money.

i have one too. It is one well designed piece of equipment.. bought it two weeks ago. Like the above, my only grouse is the small 2 LED display... hard to remember what its saying sometimes. But otherwise its great!

:D :D

hey, i will be getting one next week to when i receive my pay. when are you getting yours?

what about the distortion?? Is it still digital like the older zoom series??

The G2.1 is nothing like the old series, they have the new 32 bit chip.
An entirely new technology, according to the Zoom Corporation.

What's digital distortion? what's the diff?

try it ...
if you cant tell the difference ...
den go for digital ... more value for the $

but if you can hear and feel the difference ...
ahhh .... here begins ur Tone quest ~
:)

it's hard to explain la ...
you gotta hear it to know it ...

But another warning ...
From my experience with digital fx ...
they tend to be easier to play ...

i prefer to go the hard route ... dat way if i were to use digital .. no prob ..
But if you went digital .. den to analog ... might sound quite crappy (dependent on skill level also la ...)
*just my 2 cents worth*
