Your take on LESPAUL vs SG

i will take a sg over lp. My opinions. Mainly because i prefer the lighter body, and easy access to higher fret, and its abit too common holding a lp.

i would take the sg too..cant stand the weight of a LP man..i would never take the LP on a gig unless its really a short gig..if not my shoulders would die from carrying the LP for so long

LP vs SG is a desperate attempt to choose IMO.

these 2 guitars are good in their own turf. they have their strength/ short-comings. Les Paul more versatile? i prefer SG.

Differernt Guitars, different feel. im more of a LP person, SGs are a bit neck heavy for me although the high fret access is good.

floyd, eh? i find the MIII models with them are pleasant looking.

DUDE.

Well, okay, no surprise you know abt them Gibson MIII models. :D

They are apprently some fine shredding machines! Nice nice stuff that goes for low prices if the owner doesn't know how much they are really worth.

I love the idea of an LP with a Floyd....

the MIII got me excited some time back. however, Ibanez guitars are too good/ influential to ignore. in the realm of the floating vibrato unit, Ibanez is always tops on my list.

Hey Sub, I know what you mean... when it comes to the floyds, Ibanez tops them all!

Metallibeast, I know of that. :) but for the price... sheesh!

definite difference.

big bottom end- LP. the SG simply cannot replicate this. more defined midrange- SG, but it depends on the pickups on board.

but.. wrt to low ends with the LP,
i think you can change the pickups on the sg to give you the LOW end wad, such as a dimarzio Breed neck pu..

Well, there is only so much the pickups can do.

I am sure by slapping thos Breed's in, it will sound closer to a LP but wont "respond" the same way.

ya...y would u wanna make a SG sound similar to a LP?? that totally defeats the purpose of buying a SG aint it?...
